She Broke My Heart, An EP

"Heartbreak makes many songs." *

I mostly make music with my heart, my hands, my voice, my feet, my legs, my arms, my gut, my lungs, my voice, my brain, my voice, my voice, my heart, and an acoustic instrument (sometimes) like a piano, guitar, or harmonica. I have incorporated most of these ingredients into this new recording called She Broke My Heart. It represents approximately 2 years of slow, steady, and sporadic labor, and I completed most of the work during a period when I had absolutely NO spare time to record an album. However, I forged ahead, little by little, in spite of the scarcity of time, and I now have 4 new songs ready to share.

I present to you, She Broke My Heart, which is, by literal definition, a lo-fi indie bedroom pop EP made by a solo artist at home with not much more than an iPad, a simple app, and a decent microphone. I hope that you will enjoy this short, homemade collection of songs. It is music that is organically made with an artisan's attention to detail and with the very human peculiarities of being passionate, imperfect, and overflowing with emotion. I am thrilled to share it with you. There is definitely a juicy story in there. Feel it?

The instrumentation for the majority of this EP is somewhat sparse, but I deliberately left track 4, Cool And Free, in an extra-naked state. The purpose of the vocals-only version is to allow you the space to listen and then to improvise along with your own singing, playing, drumming, dancing, etc. Clothe Cool And Free however you would like, and have fun improvising all of your own parts. Later, I will share my own version of the song with additional production.
